Data analytics has been of great interest for me in recent times. I have worked in Power BI, Tableau and using languages like Python and R. The ability to visualize the data fascinated me with all kinds of chart. Positively it makes lot of difference to the management in analyzing the trends. The different data analytics like exploratory or predictive or prescriptive data analysis gives lot of insights to the users.

Initially I developed dashboards, where things were static and maximum we could drill down to get more details or different perspective of the data. If the data does not change frequently, you tend to see the same dashboard charts everyday and then I came across dynamic dashboards. This one is real time where whenever the data changes the dashboard also changes. Here again it should be more dynamic data that needs to be put on to the dashboard. If we can gauge the volatility of the data, we can show them in the dashboard. Or we can push the dashboard with the maximum data change to the top. And in the dynamic dashboard, each role of users sees different data interpretations according to their needs. We can add more intelligence to the dashboard, that can predict and prescribe the solutions even for short periods.

One particular intelligence I thought was ability of the dashboard to speak and clarify how this could have happened, the probable parameters needed to be checked and more. I don’t know whether such a facility exists currently. It just happened to come across my brains. If you people have more insights on this, please share them, so that I could learn.
